Northwest Air conditioning passed their test and we were chosen to install four ceiling cassettes within their offices in Warrington. I hope they will stand the test of time!

We installed Air Conditioning in their new offices and warehouse as they are expanding.
The building was an empty shell so we were able to plan our work and hide all Air Conditioning pipework behind partitions.

Despite the media promising an economic meltdown and the end of the world as we know it, business up to Christmas was steady and our air conditioning installation diary for January 2012 is full. January is normally the quietest month of the year so I am trying to make sense of it all.

The general business climate is one of caution and cost cutting so we aim to be  lean and mean in our pricing without compromising installation standards or customer care which are the cornerstones to our reputation.

Our clients seem to be prospering too albeit the common thread is to be in a value added service or manufacturing sector and be selling overseas.
Perhaps the government should be helping those guys and not the fat cat bankers.!

Flexcrete technologies welcomed a large Chinese delegation to their Leyland head office recently for an extended visit www.flexcrete.com. Their specialised cement technology is a world beating one. Northwest airconditioning was asked at short notice to provide two ceiling cassettes to provide comfortable temperatures within the conference room and Board room. We rose to the challenge and completed the work within a very tight window of installation time. The delegation was received warmly but was able to stay cool at work!

We were also busy in August at True Fit Golf in Warrington where we installed wall mounted units within three offices.

High scrap metal prices make it worthwhile for thieves to steal anything
that can be weighed in for scrap. They risk electrocution and cold burns from refrigerant but still take pipework and condensers that are in running order. Manchester police say it is a growing problem.We had four sets of pipework and cables stolen overnight from a site in Greater Manchester despite the soft drawn copper being coiled up to above the height of the first floor windows for security. Thieves scaled the security fence with a ladder, disconnected the security camera and took the copper and cable. Lock it or lose it! Put cages around your condensing units in high risk areas.

We were delighted to be chosen by the prestigious Alfa dealer Mangoletsi of
Knutsford to install air conditioning within the MD’s office.
Our brief was to avoid unsightly pipework being visible outside.
We installed a Mitsubishi SRJ25ZJS inverter floor mounted system so the pipework would exit at ground level.

The result speaks for itself. Full capital allowance tax relief is applied to this equipment including labour and electrical work.

July 4th 2011 is the deadline for any company or individual installing or servicing
Air conditioning equipment to be F gas qualified in accordance with EC Regulation 842/06. It will be illegal to work with air conditioning equipment without certification,fines will apply and insurance will be invalid without it.
Northwest Airconditioning achieved accreditation in 2010 well ahead of the current rush by companies to get training.

The Maths Don’t Add Up

Only 25% of companies currently have full accreditation(the interim certificate will not apply after July 4th) .If you divide the number of training places by accredited training centres by the number of engineers who need to train (one instructor per three engineers) there will be a large number of illegal workers on sites!
Ask to see the F Gas certificate if in doubt.

As the Easter holidays are starting we have just installed a 12kw Ceiling cassette in the language lab at Urmston Grammar School, an existing client of ours.
